Bangalore City Junction Railway Station is well connected to the metros and to major cities in Karnataka. If you are coming in from Chennai side, it is advisable to take the day train and enjoy the beautiful landscape en route. An AC travel is would be ideal for those sensitive to heat. If you are adventurous, the sleeper compartments would offer you an insight into the roots of India - the peddlers with their colorful fare, the rural common people, and potential singing sensations armed with coconut shells and stone objects who would entertain you for a buck or more. Most widely used Super-luxury to humble state transport buses ply between Bangalore and cities like Mysore (139 km), Chennai (334 km) and even Mumbai (1,033 km). Also Interstate buses are operated by state as well as private operators on daily basis.
